@mysticpuffy The announcer was named Rich Jeffries. I remember he did the last several weeks of Blockbusters, including the finale.

Bob Hilton was the full-time announcer. I have no idea who this announcer is, but the voice sounds familiar as a fill-in later on Super Password.

I don't remember Johnny announcing this show. ONly Bob Hilton and Rich Jeffries. The MB home version seen in this episode is interesting. ONly single word answers for the Gold Run, and the person hosting would have to stop the clock to find the letter selected in the question book, meaning the round would take much longer than 60 seconds. Plus players who knew the answer in the maingame, per MB's rule book, had to slap on the table.

Yes, from 1982, near the end of its two-year run, but there was later an 85-episode revival in 1987.
