-
why didnt he fight back... he had a sword... what a jerk..
-
@ditzhastati I will look into this and get some evidence for you.
-
No, it wasn't. This "tradition" was present in few areas of western europe, besides its typical for feudalism - in Poland and others eastern europe states feudal ladder was small and not so complicated as in western Europe.
There is also no info about such tradition among barbaric Slavs, before baptism.
-
@ditzhastati Before 1300 or so I am afraid it was quite common...
-
Are you kidding me? Such "tradition" was unknowed in medieval Poland.
-
@TimmyTheNerd you are possessed by Satan!
-
@RichardElden That is correct. That barbaric practice was mainly done in Central and Eastern Europe - Hungary, Poland, Germanic states, etc. It was roundly condemned by the Church and caused many peasant revolts.

Yes he deserved it! And I hope he burns in HELL!

@MAnnaconduit1 The man slept with his wife. I'm surprised he didn't bind his hands and feet and cut his balls off one at a time.
The reason people lose is because they give their enemies a "Chance". Sportsmanship is fine in the ring when you can shake hands with the guy who can't kill you because it's against the rules of the game. In the real world you kill the fucker before he knows what's going on. Those kind of people survive. Which is the reason they're glorified.

while i understand his anger, and it is well justified this Scot acted like a barbarian beating an unarmed man to death, at least give him a sword to try and fight back, doesn't matter if he can use one or not at least give him the chance, one reason the english thought they deserved to rule over the Scots and Irish (and while i beleive this was totally egocentric and bull) was becasue they saw them as mere animals, one thing that Mel Gibson seemed to really glorify.

@MAnnaconduit1
If someone had raped someone I loved, I would have done far far worse. In my mind, the man's death was too slow. I would have spent a long time making sure the man felt nothing but pain for what he had done. In my mind, the Scot was going easy on the guy.
