This is a short film made possible by the mighty, hard work of a fantastic team of UW students in no other place than Rome, Italy.
The film was put together within the time constraints of 2 weeks during a summer 2011 Cinema Studies Exploration Seminar. The back drop of our footage are well-known locations in the city, incredible, timeless places that will remain eternal inside us.
The film starts out with a graffiti quote stating, "clean walls, mute populace." The themes of street art and graffiti were intertwined in the clips, and were used as elements to help bring out the question of what is reality and what is considered acceptable in the "city of illusions."
I hope you'll enjoy! Until next time . . .
