Successful estes stormcaster launch with an 808 keychain cam strapped to the side. One of the only two sucessful launches of the day. The engine was a D12-5, and we launched it from Middleton Pioneer Park.

  • Fantastic! Big thumbs up. I'd love to see a picture of the how you mounted the camera to the rocket

  • @hdtvcamera1 i'd love to show you, but we don't have any pictures. What we basically did was use some double-sided tape to tape it between two fins, and then, for extra protection, we put two layers of duck tape over it.

  • @deadcraft223 I thought we had pics at rockets2011-tpedersen-net (razin frazin youtube doesn't allow links in comments). Would an E series engine require different launch gear? or would the stuff we have work? It was fun putting the oversized engine on that little blue rocket - in spite of the fact that it disappeared after launch!

  • @deadcraft223 Very cool guys, thanks for the info. I'll link you to my launch (this weekend) if it doesn't blow up. Actually it will be more cool if it blows up. I'm using an E9-6 engine in a Highflyer XL. Odds are I'll never see it again.

  • Cool
