Our B-61 has the air-start under the seat. You push down to get it running.

I 'd guess it was air start originally, but a lot of guys converted to electric because if you don't do basic maintenance on air starts they'll let you down.
I've had air starts 25 years, never a problem, well, not big ones I couldn't fix on the spot anyway, and that's hardly ever.
All the Macks had air starts over here, would be the same in the U.S. ?

EIGHTEEN Speed? is this a retransmissioned Roadranger with one sitkc or the original multiple stick job [which could be a number of options].

God they look small compared to today's trucks. The old B Model was very popular over here in Australia too, in fact they say it built the country in the '60s. A lot of them, people restore here. Same in the US I guess.
Did it still have the air start? That chrome button on the dash looks like the air start control. All the Macks over here had air starts right up to the Superliner (the real one).
