Women in Egypt and their school system need to teach young boys about respect for women and that rape is wrong. If they are taught this early maybe they wont grow up to be gropers and rapist. Otherwise women in egypt will start to carry weapons to protect themselves.

Muslim Book 4, Number 2127: “..He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow) that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. HE STRUCK ME ON THE CHEST WHICH CAUSED ME PAIN, and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you? ...."

not only did muhammed hit his wives but also allowed others to hit/slap his wives: muslim book 9, No 3506:

@misssoumsouma the verb used in the quranic verse is:اضربوهن which mean HIT. many islamic scholars make this excuses: hit means slightly without causing an injury. now every arabic speaking person KNOWS the verb "اضربوهن" means a HARD HIT, a KAF means a slap.HOWEVER, maybe it meant something else back in htat day BUT the very fact that islam promotes the idea of HITTING a wife, no matter how hard is DEGRADING, HUMILIATING, WOMANIZING. do u think a light hit doesn't cause emotional pain? conti…

@angelikagh i mean its not even hitting !!! u cant even feel the pain !!!! it was just a way to show if hey did something wrong or something !!!! BUT STILL the prophet never hit any of his wives !!!! ADDING that the law is against hitting women or wives and a woman can sue a man or husband for hitting her !! and as we all know the law in muslim countries is based on islam so that means that islam is against hitting women !!!!

@misssoumsouma im sorry but youre very wrong !!! about the "hitting woman" thing!!!! a husband can never hit his wife!! it is forbidden !! i know that its written in the Quran!!!! but please dont explain things youre way!!!!!! hitting doesnt mean to punch someone or slapping as we all think !!! because arabic words in the past didnt mean exactly the same thing as now!!!! do u know that as it is said about the prophet Muhammed that him hitting wife his with "sewak" !!!

@misssoumsouma i agree with almost everything you just said, and things are going to get worse in egypt after this revolution, it's not getting better considering that the very fundamentalist "islamic brotherhood" might win. and trust me i know how arabs are since i've lived there, investment in girls' education is the sole solution for poverty and gender equality. i don't agree about the islam part, cause the quran clearly permits men to hit their wives to submission: Qur'an (4:34). peace.
