panning timelapse of a windmill at night with stars
there are 2 meteors in this on as well. its astonishing how much crap runs into our planet and how easy it is to capture it in photos... I probably have a collection of about 50+ meteor images now just from the past month.
i messed this one up and have to go back soon to try it again. the stars are in focus and the windmill is not.. i have to use a wider angle lens i think and do some testing on it. I set up fast and just started it without really checking the shots.. also had to speed up the pan about half way through because it was getting light out, i attempted to correct in post that but its not perfect
got there about an hour later than i wanted to (after driving past it 2x and setting up I didnt get the first shot till about 4:30am) earlier I stopped to watch the moonset on the way back from the state fair scoping out locations for the lunar eclipse later next week.
Very nice! Did you adjust the exposure time by hand or automatic?

it was done manually. if youleave it on automatic it flickers very badly

The windmill being out of focus didn't bother me at all. As for it getting lighter towards the end, I think makes it more interesting than being a set back. This is excellent work! What was your exposure and iso set to?

it was constantly changing from about 10 sec to 1/250 of a sec and iso 1800 to about 1000 iso. I was adjusting the camera as the sun came up
