if i ever break my wrist, i'll be sure to do this. although i probably wouldn't recommend doing this until a few weeks after you get the cast on. so the bones can at least set a little and it won't be very painful.

I waited 3 1/2 weeks before I did this.
By that time, I'm pretty sure the bones are pretty stuck together, but not very strong. But the bones didn't need setting in the first place, so even if they weren't I don't think they would have slipped out of place.
