I've did a test just buyed. After a week i'm just more impressed that i was before. The missing tuning strings problem disappear (problem was the weak truss rod set, it needed to be turned). I'm still with stock iper cheap pickups but they're really not bad, i'm considering to put good pups as it's so good instruments (and not for the price, in general), but really their tone is nice for ears and is convincing even now. Neck pup is dark and muddy, very responsive; bridge pup really bright and with decise attack. Simply it sound like a tele :) It's my second SX and i'm became a fan of this cheap spanish brand. Pod XT used with direct recording through USB.

  • Wow, I always looked at these SX as completelly crappy and cheap guitars. They go for a $100 bucks new here in the US. I may get one now just to try it out. Nice licks BTW!

  • @lapwiz it's a more than decent start point, and this thin line tele is rather good even stock (some other sx has terrible hardware stock, but for the price even the wood is a interesting option for mods)

  • @rafport I just ordered one online for $90 bucks brand new. I have some hot tele USA pickups. I'm curious to hear how they would sound on the SX. Yours sounds like the action is a bit high, true or not? Oh, Just got a new MIM tele black top for 400 on ebay. Silver with two humbuckers. If you need parts for any project, drop me a line. They're cheap here in the US. I live near NYC and there are loads of stuff around here. Loved the sound of the P GENEX. I have one of those all stock.

  • @lapwiz this was the brand new guitar with a quick setup, so action was not bad and you can put the action you prefer (i'm using now 11-49 gauge with medium action, not too low). what you should do immediately is the change of the nut, because it's of very cheap plastic stuff and has a big role in the (un)tuning. a graptech tusq standard for fender is just few dollars and fit perfectly with no work and improve a lot the performance. thank you for your purpose, but shipment to italy will cost

  • @lapwiz more than the possible saving of money (and here it should be an extra taxation for the incoming stuff from outside, because we pay 21% of any buy and this percentage should be added to the foreign buys). so thank you :) luckily some nice stuff ad interesting prices can be found here too (with US prices all is cheaper, but with shipments and taxes usually it is better buy into european country for us)

  • great too hear someone who uploads a guitar vid and CAN play...thank you!!!!!

  • @TheXXXDB thank you!

  • i think its just your awesome playing making the difference.

  • Sounds good I'd still go with a Classic Vibe Squier !

  • @rafport Alright, I'll give that a try! Can't wait to gig with the thing as soon as the tuning problem is solved! Thanks alot!
