My password is racecar. It is easy to remember, but I throw hackers off by spelling racecar backwards.

What drives me mad is when websites limit the security of your password, like...
-MUST BE 6-8 CHARACTERS
-MUST ONLY CONTAIN LETTERS AND NUMBERS
Stupidest conventions ever.

These passwords are all from 10-15 characters long, not 5, and everyone should know that a 15 character long password using symbols, capital letters, numbers etc. is harder to bruteforce than one with only "normal" letters. Though I agree with you that length is important, why dont get the best of both? That should make it close to impossible to bruteforce, thus the hackers giving up before even waiting so long :)
