@crazyazcordova I'm an EMT and there are nurses who work in con homes who are this stupid. They call for ALS when the patient may only need BLS and they call BLS when the patient is having crushing chest pain. What makes it worse is if we as EMTs get mad at the nurse They threaten to call our bosses and complain. Sense private ambulance companies only care about money they can get us in trouble. Forget about calling for ALS backup. Your fucking company will fire you because they lose a call.

@crazyazcordova not all of us are like this. but sadly the few nurses who are like this give the rest a bad name. as a EMT-LP AND a RN I can attest to this. I know alot of nurses that are just amazing. I also know alot of dumbass emts and paramedics who shoulda retired 30 years ago from burnout. You will find your shitty emts and nurses

Ive been a nurse 10 years & what I come across are asshole paramedics that dont want to listen to the nurse that knows their pt & knows when there is a change in their condition because they dont want to be disturbed while they are at Taco Bell...& this only proves it..

Im about to Start Nursing School myself. Yes this happens all the time. What happens is a majortie of nurses the work at SNF "nursing home" Loose there skills. They for get how to assess a patient.They loose the patient care skills, and all they really end up doing is tons of paper work and pass out meds. I have been to Facilitys were I am told that I am not aloud to assess my patient, thats just plain ignorance. Because a nurse thinks that Im just transport aka Glorified Taxi!
