  • I'm a student at Uni right now, and i've brought plenty of separate supplements from MyProtein (eg, whey, creatine, maltodextrin, glutamine etc etc) but noticed it had a bad impact on my student loan, would you recommend Pulse pre-workout, and Impact Blend and Instant Oats post workout and used as a meal replacement formula? Other than that, my diet is pretty clean, high protein/carb, moderate good fats, but I dont have the time or money to prepare a post workout meal etc... Thanks

  • @rxg092 DUDE!! dont have time or money to prepare a post workout meal?.. I was a student 6 years i had oven chips and one scoop whey for a preworkout meal, then post workout i used to drink blended oats in my protein shake 2 scoops, 45mins later id have some food to eat either rice and tuna with light mayo baked potato tuna, if it was dinner time id have pork chops cut some potatoes into wedges and trow em in the oven from aldi a 6 pack of pork chops were like 3quid, oven chipps 1.99 :D

  • @christophela The INSTANT OATS bought from Myprotein is just normal oats that have been ground down, you can buy a 1kg pack of oats for like 50p then put them in a blender, pick the blender up and shake it so all the oats are blended, CHEAP and EFFECTIVE just what a student loves. you can use shakes as a meal replacement but eat food as much as you can too, dont think oh iv had a shake i dont need to eat now, MRP means you have had an 'extra' meal not replace a normal meal, do you get me?

  • is it ok to use ready brek instead of oats, cant find fine oats in tesco or asda, and drinking oats ground in the blender makes me gag.

  • I have a dumb question, but I think you know the answer. When I use a propper weightgainer 'shake' (as bought in the store) the results are fine, but it also appears on my face! It's killing me. Do you think it's due the fact of a wrong product or am I just fucked? please help me. X

  • @DonSelwashington All store bought weight gainers generally are is just empty calories as in sugars, this can make you gain unwanted weight but if your working out too then it should be too much of a problem, If the weight gainer has creatine in it then you might be retaining water which could appear around the face area and neck. without knowing the ins and outs thats all I can think of.

  • @christophela :o That actually makes sense for getting a quick & cheap easy source of carbs in, rather than boiling rice or pasta xD I was in catered halls this year so had no control over lunch and dinner, but this year im moving into self-catered halls, and I had all these diet plans, relying on wholegrain pitta's, bags of chicken breast from Sainsbury's (and a George Foreman Grill) and for egg whites, those botted egg whites from MyProtein, mixed with whole eggs from the supermarket.. Cheers!

  • Ok thanks was just wondering as 40% is oat flour, would this really matter if I'm trying to clean bulk.
