  • if, like, positive

I wouldn't have the patience for this conversation.

  • What's not positive about drinking? I'm sick of the stigma drinking gets. It's not like they got piss drunk at the meeting. Besides, if they want to have their boring little meetings they can do it on their dime, not mine. Then they wouldn't have to worry about the public "disrupting" their stuffed shirt meetings.

  • The obvious problem with the Free Keene thing is their inability to accept their own personal selfishness. I can't get past the idea that these people are aimless wandering wannabes. How is it possible to get a "group" to coalesce around "personal" selfishness? Certainly not by regurgitating childish "I want" rants. Obviously the "I want" part will be supplied by, you guessed it, someone else.

  • @xbringyourboardx Socialism has failed all over the world, so not interested in any of it, The best form of government was created in early Greece by Solon (philosopher and legislator) - a Constitutional Republic. It was utilized by the Roman's prior to the Caesars and then by our founders in creating the US. We have the best form of government ever created, problem is that we have allowed corporatism and socialism to invade our government. We need to return to less government and not more!

  • @juliaisafilmbuff123 There are obviously many factors influencing why a person becomes homeless and I'm sure they've had a hard life if they are in that situation, however, they are still capable of providing for themselves. What would happen if a human was born into a community without concepts of wealth but did not work or help the community? There would be consequences, as there are today.

  • @stephenabm how about the socialist government of france and other european countries? Modern versions of socialism are far different from what that century old manifesto says.

  • Socialist views? Socialism as dreamed and written in the Communist Manifesto by Karl Mark? Communism / Socialism is about total control of the individual by the almighty state! I don't think this kid has a clue on what he is talking about.

We need freedom and less Government control and not more!

  • What a bunch of hippie/druggie crap. Get a job and stay off the streets.

  • i am a "liberal" what a dick

  • I'm glad you guys are willing to have an open discussion of these tactics, that much is encouraging.

I think a blend of activism is actually healthy for the cause. Keep it up!

  • At 6:35, the issue isn't necessarily "school outreach"; the issue is the *way* they're presenting it. Yelling at kids to drop out of school isn't going to resolve the problem at hand, especially when the only existing alternatives to "state education camps" are private school (which not everyone can afford) or homeschool (which not everyone has the resources to do). Why not build some free, participartory-run schools instead?

  • The guy who says feeding the homeless is a short-term solution is 100% correct. Charity is a top-down vertical act which humiliates those who receive it. Solidarity, on the other hand, and reforming the system to make conditions better for all is horizontal and helps all those involved.
