Fuck this, I'm going back in time.

  • This is such a great film ... a snapshot of a period in time that was absolutely horrible for the German people. There was still some good shining through that evil period in human history ... SWING HEIL!!

  • @Franklyn1955 This is true. So technically the dancing in the movie is actuate since kids in Germany wouldn't know what real swing dancing looks like. :-D lol

  • @lindyhop411

    You are absolutely right!

But:: how many professional lindyhop dancers did exist in Germany in the year 1939?

I am not convinced, that even one of them could do it better than the actors in this movie.

  • @mirtasmiddlefinger Do me a favor and look up "Hellzapoppin". The dancing in the movie Swing Kids is a bunch of actors who learned to dance for the movie. The dancers in Hellzapoppin were professional swing dancers who the producers put in the movie. Big difference.

  • @Condom007of007Solace hitler only wants german music also most of the swing musicians were black, and we al know, that hitler didn´t "like" black people. and benny goodman was jewish, wasn´t he?

  • @Condom007of007Solace Who Invented the GOOSE Step Move. ?

  • @MrSandman230 Which Dancer is SHE. ?

  • @Condom007of007Solace yeah Hitler only wanted German music to be played.

  • @Condom007of007Solace To the best of my knowledge any music that wasn't German was banned and illegal in Germany during the Nazi reign of the 1930s-1940s.

  • @bradmedicus What I love about this film is that it touches on a part of the Nazi take over that, at least to me, isn't well known. The banning of music that wasn't German and the Nazi Youth organization.
