Elie Wiesel said in his speech on April 22 (or 12) 1999 that indifference is worse than anger. That with anger spawns creativity, an anger towards evil people spawns ways to deal with it, but indifference does nothing of the sort, a void of emotions to say the least. I take a guess and say it is about the same as what you are trying to get across.
