Skyfall starring Daniel Craig, Juldy Dench, Ben Whishaw and Javier Bardem is discussed by Ben Mankiewicz (host of Turner Classic Movies), Matt Atchity (Editor-in-chief Rottentomatoes.com), Alonso Duralde (TheWrap.com and Linoleum Knife podcast) and Christy Lemire (AP critic).

In Skyfall, Bond's loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost. -- (C) Official Site

Batman was written in 1939. Bond was created 1953.

There's this thing called "wikipedia" you might want to check out.

Actually, I don't hold you at fault as much as I do all the geniuses here who honestly thought you had made a point.

It saddens me a little that neither the critics nor the commenters have realized that James Bond movie continuity is now utterly fucked by what happened in Skyfall.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, and it deffinitely is one of the best 007 films, but once you confirm James Bond isn't a codename, rank, or alias, then what you have is an ageless cartoon that has lived all the way from the Cold War to the present and is still "in his forties".

At the same time, to be fair, Batman was a vessel for Bob Kane to live vicariously through. James Bond was inspired by real people Fleming worked alongside while in the Naval Intelligence Division in WWII. Stark contrast in their origins.

Hey guys. I think it would be great if you did in-depth spoiler reviews for all films. Just post the same disclaimer in the title. That way you can discuss all aspects of the film instead of saying well we won't discuss X or the end because it would spoil things.

they did this with all the bond films. they had moneypenny, m, q, some villains returned, they even had that dumb southern sheriff from one of the roger moore films reappear for some reason.
