Once more, it is time to tune in for some catachrestic capers with the pfis.actionismus group.
Read what the press has had to say about the soundtrack to our new film debuting tomorrow in the movie section:
The Daily Telepath:
"Composer of the soundtrack to the new PFIS Film, Shlomo Ben Jussuf, has created what is surely the most blisteringly corvine work of recent times. Describing the compositional process, Ben Jussuf explained at a press conference yesterday how his sepulchral instincts had sent him lurching in crapulent syncopation, seemingly mid-disgorgement, into a darkly moiréd puddle of his own mystic atonality. The obstreperous quality of the recording vesicular and almost overwhelmingly crenellated by turns expectorates a preprandial noxiousness over the score, evincing an all but scrofulous reflection of the composer's inner response to the incisive reality of the meshuga ballsiness which underlies the PFIS experience on a Tuesday between 12.30 and 7 pm."
The New York Tomes:
"A sense of both cinematic and musical history being made and then chromatically shat upon by giant mutant gnats from a lofty elevation becomes tenuously palpable as Ben Jussuf's tumultuous diction veers between diarrhetic fulminations, moments of tremulous, almost tearfully bucolic introspection, roiling, scatologically inspired mournfulness of Bartokian ruminance and serrated brittleness, before percolating into an achingly delirious cadenza and utlimately eliciting an almost cartoon-like parody of demonically manicured Dionysian-Slavic schmoksiness."
