The greatest thing since sliced bread. It's pretty much like Wonderbread: so amazing, so hard to define. I mean, Wonderbread is like bread flavored Play-Dough in the shape of bread. This song is like amazingly flavored Play-Dough shoved into a blender with ice cream and chocolate. What am I even saying? In any terms, this band has done the world immense good.

@glun So, you're saying that guitar chords played on the second and fourth beats of each measure but which obviously isn't reggae isn't "nonreggae guitar with a reggae rhythm"?
-
@HPinkFloydcraft Thanks for your attempt at defending my dumb white ass. glun's is the first unnecessarily hostile insult I've received on youtube!
-
@HPinkFloydcraft You're right, but the original is a carnavalito and the guy was commenting on -this- version, which SCG played in a corrido style.
-
@glun Actually is a bolivian song called Llorando se fue, so instead of being insulting others do a proper investigation.

i was the fourth to last person to ever speak to captain beefheart whatever

@jefferyhoelscher Reggae? This is their take on a traditional Mexican ballad. Try getting your dumb white ass out of the Anglosphere before namedropping Van Vliet again.

What more do you want? Nonreggae guitar with a reggae rhythm, screeching man/woman vocals, 'drumming' more minimal than Moe Tucker, recorder (recorder!) whistling rivaling Captain Beefheart (RIP). I love this song! I love this album!
