  • They sound awful.

  • What do you know?

  • Quite a lot actually. I just think they sound very ordinary if not a little 'highschoolish'

  • If you say so.

  • I would hope that Her Majesty's band would be spit and polish, and top notch. This band is one of 30 or so that the US Army has that fills a wide variety of musical roles. If you want to draw comparisons with the world's top military bands, I suggest looking up The United States Army Band Pershing's Own, The United States Army Field Band, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, or The United States Military Academy Band. Those groups are The US Army's Premier bands.

  • @Kentuckyhorse1 go play on I-5

  • Being a Marine musician and scrutinizing everything an Army band does, I actually appreciated this rendition. I may entertain joining an Army band in the future.

  • @loyaltubist Check your WHAT?

  • The choice of music is the problem here. The band is a MILITARY band. Military music should be heard at a military ceremony, not some damned soundtrack from the latest movie at the post theatre that uses a complete orchestra. Sound off, advance the colors, pass in review require a military band, case closed. The british bands ie; the coldstream, grenadier, Irish and Welsh guards have no more than 35 musicians and play march music while marching, and performing ceremonial duties.

  • @Kentuckyhorse1

    Yeah... Americans...

  • With all that brass and chrome, what is the point of wearing ACU's/UCP since the band is easily seen? Like any band ever goes into combat.

I would think they would wear the ASU.

A bit over the edge "PR-ish" and "Hollywood" for me.

Other than that, they looked sharp.

  • 8 people are disrespectful to the army

  • @Kentuckyhorse1 'highschoolish'? are you kidding

  • They're in tune. The rhythms are right. Maybe you don't like the music they are playing. They sound OK to me. I have a good ear. (Check my credentials.)

  • @Kentuckyhorse1 high schoolish? give me a break they sound great.
