After looking around youtube for a really good performance of this aria I finally found it. This is the best rendition so far. Crystal clear voice, perfect pitch, no exaggerated vibrato. You can even understand the lyrics. I totally agree, it's so effortless. This is always a sign for skill.

I am not an expert, and I don't know the correct term, but even these squiggles that lead to the 8 high C's and A's are not sung sluggishly or are overshadowed by vibrato.

I even shed a tear.

I think this is the only version I've heard so far that doesn't either sound like someone stepping on a squeaker for the high notes or just guffing on the low ones. You can hear every word too, Bravissimo!

Crystal clear and beautifully precise - very few sopranos can do this piece justice but she is one of the few who have.

wonderful!!! finally i can figure out which notes there are! usually they do a 3/4 tone vibrato which makes everything uncomprehensible!!
