This clip is from the 1954 film Bint el Hawa (Daughter of Love) Unfortunately the original film that this clip was cut from is grainy and so its not as clear as my other clips. However, it is worth uploading because it's one of Taheya Carioca's lesser known dance clips. In this film she plays the role of a woman who was abandoned by her husband and finds herself pregnant and alone. She eventually becomes bitter and resentful of all men and finds work as a dancer to support herself and her daughter (played by Faten Hamama) The daughter has no idea what her mother does for a living as she has been sent off to boarding school. This clip also features Yousef Wahbi (seen entering the door at 0:37) who is considered the father of Arab theater and is one of the greatest actors in Egyptian theater/cinema history.
