I ran into Slash in 1987 in a burger joint. He was in town with GnR that week. He was wearing his top hat and a leather jacket and eating a burger by himself. The radio stations weren't playing GnR yet so not many people knew who he was at the time, only hard rock music lovers like myself who read magazines like Metal Edge! Don't forget there was no internet at the time...
