RYAN'S RLE RUNDOWN #3.0 :: GIFTS (STAY TUNED FOR EPISODE #3.5 FOR THE REST OF MY CHICAGO TAPING)

I made this most recent video for RYANS RLE RUNDOWN in Chicago, IL when Rocky Loves Emily spent some time back in a familiar place—our Wicker Park place that has been very good to us whenever we have been passing through town.

This third installment has been a long time coming, because STICKAM.COM HAS STOLEN MY LIFE FROM ME!! hahahahahha. Every night that I was planning to update everyone about RLE, my friends on Stickam.com insisted I stay and chat with them instead. What can I say; I am a pushover. I hope I am not a pushover dad one day. Thatd be BAD NEWS BEARS! hahaha.

Ive been really crazy about this one band, called Wallpaper, lately. Their second track on their new album, DooDoo Face, which is called T REX, is the background music on the video. I love the whole album. You should get it too! I hope I am not offending them using the song. I always want to showcase good music. I think common practice soon among majors down to the fan-boys and fan-girls will be to treat music as negotiable while performance and merchandising will be treated as the industrys monetary mainstay.

Ive listened to many, many AP [Magazine] Podcasts where AP Founder, Mike Shea, interviewed my [hopefully] soon-to-be peers and talked about their forecasts for the future of bands, labels, fans, and money. The general feel seems to be what I just laid out regarding music not being owned by anyone and live performance from the source as well as wearable/otherly displayable band advertising/identifiers-of-oneself taking the lions share of investment focus.

Anyways, this video, which is part number one of a two-part run in this series, is about our recent Rocky Loves Emily concert at Kensington Community Church. Then I thank a few AMAZING recent gift-givers. I LOVE getting gifts!! Dont we all?! [:

Heyyy! Whatsup? This is Ryan Ellis from Rocky Loves Emily. Rocky Loves Emily played a LEGIT show in Kensington [Community Church] the other day—we rocked it out. [As] Im looking back at the playback right now, [I can already see] it was just a LEGITIMATE SHOW! [There was a ] HUGE CROWD. There were hundreds of people there going CRAZY! Weve been getting gifts LIKE CRAZY at shows. Two days ago I was on Stickam[.com]—you can chat with me on Stickam[.com]. Im RELLISH3214 [thats my handle on Stickam.com]. Thats also the same name I have for Twitter[.com]. I was chatting with this girl name Taylor, and she actually came to our show last night! She gave me three bracelets. ALSO, a SWEET girl, Sarah with an H, made each a person in the band a [**SWEET**] bracelet. She wrote on the inside of it our favorite Bible verse. Also, at the Kensington [Community Church] show, Lindsey and Carlythey gifted me a bunch of CD[-R]s, some pens, and another Vitamin Water. THANK YOU GUYSand, you know, keep making us gifts!!
