Thomas D. Gabriel: talented designer and artist and dear friend since the early 1980s. He and I owned a gallery together, shared like interests and many good times. He was a teacher to me; on a trip to Europe together in 1993, he shared with me his love of Hungary. He fondly called me Erzsébet much of the time (the Hungarian form of Elizabeth). He was a true friend. Tom passed from this world in 2009. This is part one of an interview I taped with him in 2006. In part two, he shares part of his fine silver collection (to be posted soon).

  • I watched part 2 first as this part didn't come up in my subscriptions, strange.

What a wonderful designer he was. Those pictures were simply stunning. I really enjoyed all the stories, including the ghost/spirit ones. The scratches ... freaky! I wonder how different life would have been if Thomas' Grandmother had married the Priest? I'd love to travel more one day. Great Interview Liz. I very much enjoyed listening and seeing all those lovely things :)

  • @Featherflow My thanks, Sara....I feel very fortunate in many ways :) And I hope you do get to traveling...'just do it'...make some plans for 2011 hint hint :))
