People don't understand, the IS300 may not be the quickest 0-60, but that 2jz keeps on fucking going and going.. i got mine up to 145 on a stretch of highway in west virginia at about 2 am. it would have done 160-165 but i ran out of straights

Y'all check out my video. All stock 2004 Lexus is300. I went for quickest time not speed let out of it at 140 was passing and meeting cars so thought id slow down lol.

@boohaahaa Wheelspin would cause the speedometer to read higher that the speed of the vehicle. If the speedometer is reading 140mph and 20% of that is wasted, it would be ~112mph on a surface without wheelspin.

@whathefmate Oh my, you told him didn't you?

It's amazing the percentage of illiteracy that's out there. Great run, taking everything into consideration. Did you have the traction control on and was it equipped with the optional LSD?
-
I think I can I think I can

@boohaahaa No, its not 160-170. The top speed on the IS is 140, its gear limited. I have done it on asphalt so it cant go faster then that.
-
@boohaahaa But 140 on this speedo is the same on salt flats as it is on asphalt. 140mph on a gps speedometer on salt flats would be what it comparable to 160-170 on asphalt.

@ARFNSX fuck bro this is sik I just picked up one thats 5speed but past 100 theres wind noise from a crack or something in my door and it just doesnt hold its own. I had a 05 Mazda3 before this and it handled better at top speed then my lex. Any suggestions. I already had it looked at by a mechanic
The salt causes 15-20% tire spin. 140 on the salt is comparable to around 160-170 on asphalt.
