  • Why do people hate the Werehog? In my opinion, he's equally fun to play as in the PS3/Xbox360 version as the day stages and it's nice to have a change of pace because running 300mph is fun but after 3 hours straight, it gets tiring. This is to relax and have fun beating enemies in my opinion.

  • Dude, I didn't know how to get out of this creepy stage. S rank and done in almost 7min? I had 28 lives and then lost 8 lives, I decided to see this video and lost another 8 lives and finally cleared the stage in almost 48min with A rank lol. Nevermore I'll enter in this stage, it's so stressing...

  • @MarshiMYG64 The Day stages are fun, but it's just running fast. I like it, but after a while it gets really boring and getting good at the levels requires memorization, which means dying a lot before knowing the whole level. The enemy roster for the Werehog was too small and not used correctly, and some enemies were dickish. But I still enjoyed the platforming, exploration (In Day levels too) and combat very much. Totally agree on the music. The non-battle music was much better.

  • @vgman94 I hated the Werehog. The stages dragged on too long, there weren't enough enemies types to keep it fresh, there were dickish miniboss placements like that part in Empire city night with that shockwave abusing arsehole (Don't tell me you didn't die to him less than 3 times to him) and the enemy battle music got very repetitive and got in the way of the musical tracks.

I don't know about you but I can never get tired of replaying the Day time stages over and over again.

  • oh nvm i thougth he jumped lol sorry

  • ARRRrg IM ON THIS STAGE RIGHT NOW AND I CANT GET PAST IM ON THE PART WERE U JUMP ON THOSE THING AND EVERYSINGLE TIME I FALL INTO THE WATTR AND I JUST RIGHT ON THE TIP!!!

  • @vgman94 After playing a lot of Sonic games to prepare for Generations, I noticed that Griffith plays Sonic like he's shocked at everything, and it can get really annoying at times. That's really my main complaint with the voice acting. And I honestly feel like in retrospective, SEGA was trying to make a new Sonic game, with the old Sonic style. And it works in some ways, and in other ways it didn't. But I'd say it's a bigger success then most Sonic games of the last 5 years, at least IMO.

  • @Master I personally hated it. The switch between 2.5D and 3D gameplay didn't change the gameplay at all (at least Generations will change that). The new cast is okay with most characters (as far as I know. Only heard tidbits of the other characters and only really heard a lot from Tails and Sonic) except Snic who sounded way too deep. The 4Kids cast had some flaws here and there, but their voices fit the characters well. I don't see how. The gameplay was repetitive, unlike with previous games.

  • @vgman94 Really? I actually found it to be a fun mix of 2.5D and 3D. The new cast sounds a lot better then the 4Kids cast, and I actually enjoyed the banter between Sonic & Tails/ Eggman & The Robots. Gameplay-wise, it could've been a lot worse.

  • @MasterEm243 Which is a shame as most of the games in the "bad" era were actually quite good. Most notably Unleashed and Black Knight. Secret Rings is debatable with it's on-rails thing and 06' was too glitchy. I don't see how Colors is the "return of Sonic", though. As far as I'm concerned, that game felt repetitive and the jokes/cutscenes/story were painful to listen to and watch.

  • @vgman94 Yeah. I'd say that general reception says that most of the Sonic Franchise beyond Sonic Heroes were generally bad games. It's only just now that people are starting to like Sonic again.

  • @MasterEm243 In terms of the mass reception and reputation, true. Even now, many people are still hating on 06' and see the Sonic games after it as equally bad. 06' had a lot of potential too, but the development time and.... Business problems just made it a half-baked, pre-alpha stage game,
