i´m not a big fan relatively small naturally-aspirated engines in nowadays cars. but i have to say i really liked this 110hp version with the 6 speed box in the in the megane.

I own and love this car n the best way to get it going is to turn the traction control OFF.... only stays off up to 40 mph but its enough to get a great start....... 4500rpm drop the clutch n put ur foot down beautiful..... av got 0-60 mph in a standered 1.6vvt in 8.7 secs. BRILLIANT CAR

It is lively when u trash it, but anywhere under 3000 rpm it lacks power (because of torque). At the top of the rev range it feels great though! The gear shift of the new megane is quite shitty unfortunately, quite notchy. I got a K&N panel filter and low down power is a bit better, sounds a bit better too =) I am saying to because I own one too!

Wrong, it has a downshift indicator as well. Only the 2009 Megane Coupe Dynamique has the digital speedo, from 2010 only Privilege gets that.

looks pretty strong. in comparison to the tce engines the n/a engines are "built-to-last" ones. if i buy a megane, i´d take the 1.6 16v 110.
