lol, poor baritone... he had such a beautiful voice, apart from the crack. i'm sure, the rest of the recording was excellent (if it survived).

ohhh how bad!! Nonetheless, it's wrong. There is no indication of a mordent or trill or any ornament in the sheet music but it's a very high note for a bass and it's understandable because of it's difficulty. But still... poor guy!!

@taviona That was not an expertly executed mordent trill. I've never heard any piece of Baroque music with a "trill" like that. That was a classic voice crack lol. So epic.

Check the score; the crack is clearly written there. He was singing it as is. Oh, how ahead of his time, Bach was! :)
