Imagine with me back to the year 1746. A ship is docking on the coast of West Africa. Its purpose is to snatch unsuspecting people and sell them as slaves in the far off countries. The captain of this ship is known far and wide for his debauchery, vulgarity and blasphemy. But one day in 1748, while reading the book "The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas a Kempis, our captain comes face to face with his sin and turns his life over to Jesus, the Savior of sinners. Our captain is John Newton. After his conversion and dedication to Christ, he became a pastor and hymn writer. His most famous of hymns, "Amazing Grace", is a testimonial of his conversion to Christ.

I dont even understand how someone can be atheist. How can humanity be the best and only thing in this universe. I know God exists. I can feel it in when i look at nature. Anyone that goes to a soup kitchen or hands out food to the homeless can feel the presence of God. Your soul just feels at peace and you feel happy giving away your food. If humanity only cared about survival of the fittest like evolutionists say, why do we feel so great when we help others less fortunate. Its in our DNA.

People can be headed the wrong way and not see it. Try not to be judgemental just pray. It will be a glorious day when they make that change.

@emanuelcako I see that more as a representation of human goodness rather than divine power. I am agnostic, and I believe in the wonderful, imperfect thing that is humanity, rather than this "feeling" of divinity existing. How can anyone know for certain that God exists? We do not have the capacity to understand or prove that existence.

This a great song, I have a CD with this song on it and I listen to that when I am driving, when I am having a good day or bad day, this song always makes me feel that everything is going to be ok. And that I know that God and his son Jesus Christ is with me.
