School: Awful. Hated. Epic failure by whoever came up with the idea.

Never once in my life have I been able to say that I like school. It's torture. You see, I'm what you'd call the popular head cheerleader. I didn't try to get in this position, but somehow I did. People say I'm the nicest popular person you'll ever meet. Some girls that aren't...as popular as me just think it's an act and hate me because being mean isn't my thing. That doesn't make sense, but it's how the days roll by.

I walked down the main hallway of the school with my two best friends, Brooke and Madie. They're the people I trust most. They're in the same position as me. Except for the head cheerleader part... But they understand my drama, my likes, my loves, my life. And the oddest thing that they still understand in my life is Nick Jonas. Groveland High's football star. Hottes guy in school. He's not my boyfriend. It's not like the movies where the football star and head cheerleader are together. Why? Because that's the dumbest thing ever. And because Nick is with an "un-popular" girl, Cassidie. He adores her every move. In fact, he's with her every move. Except for during classes. Unless they're in that class together...which is only one class. Math. I'm in every class but Math with him. We're great friends, but not quite enough for him to see right through me. Seeing right through me by knowing I'm in love with him. Every time I watch him and Cassidie walk down the hallways, I picture myself in her position. What it would be like to have his arm around my waste, instead of hers. Or his lips to mine. I don't hate Cassidie at all. I'm actually friends with her a little bit. But Nick stops me from being around her too much. Accidentally. I'm afraid something will slip out. With my big mouth, I always have to expect the worst when it comes to my surroundings. You never know who's listening. And you never know when you'll say somehting to orin front of the wrong person. So my distance from Cassidie...kept.
