When I first heard this song on the radio in 1979 I was immediately struck by the thought that, after this, anything was possible in pop music, and things would also never be the same. Of course we already had punk, but this was intelligent pop music and remains one of my favourite songs.

I was lucky enough to see the final show on this world tour in Dublin a few weeks back.Broken English , The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan As Tears Go By and many more classics delivered as only Ms Faithfull can.Isn't it amazing how old timers like Marianne & Leonard Cohen are putting the younsters to shame. Wait no Marianne & Leonard have talent and that's what courts.
