The DJ Podcast episode 009 - The episode in which I talk fast to avoid being interrupted by my roommates and use new software.

This episode focuses on the SP-6 Sample Player. The SP-6 is a six slot sample player within Serato Scratch Live. You can save samples into four sample banks, use three different playback modes, and adjust the volume for each clip. The SP-6 can be used with all supported Rane hardware. In this episode I'll be going over the features of the SP-6: how to customize the interface, how to load and play clips, and how to control the sample levels.

  • Sir is there anyway to change the BPM of the samples?

  • @doctorshabs I don't remember as I didnt use the sample players much. I dont have Serato anymore, so I can't check for you.

  • I have version 2.1.1

The sample player is not showing up, and it is enabled...

Is it because my laptop isn't connected to my system/SL-1?

  • @davidshalom123 Yes. connect your soundcard.

  • I just Have The Program.. and it says Rane Hardware not installed.. What dose that mean?

  • @elektrooraverr You need to have a compatible soundcard manufactured by Rane (SL1, SL3, TTM57 Mixer, 68 Mixer) to actually use the program.
