In all the world and all of humanity, who can compare to Lord Buddha? He has no equal!
-
@hijadenada apologies, but the symbol seen on buddha is a manji, (or reverse swastika) it represents Dharma, Universal Harmony and the balance of opposites.
-
@Celticswynd the swastika is a hindu symbol , buddhism has its roots in "vedic " hinduism rather than the normal hinduism practised at time of buddha which is now absorbed into current hinduism .
p.s. on a side not hinduism evolves a lot over time

OM! Peace to ALL

@shdwbrt In Sanskrit tradition (the root of Far East Asian Buddhism), it is called a Swastik. Hitler ripped it off as an "Aryan symbol".

@TheTRUTHisGODisONE the swastika is a Buddhist religious symbol, that means happiness and content. Sadly, during the third Reich, Hitler perverted it into a symbol of hate for the minds of the Western world. Siddhartha would frown upon hurting others the way Hitler did. Since Siddhartha, like Jesus, preached love and kindness, and wished to end all suffering.

it is not a 'swastika', it is a 'manji' and represents Dharma, universal harmony,a balance of opposites. the swastika 'faces' the other direction
