Kitchener, Ontario, CANADA - 1987 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, Ladies' Long Program - Cindy Bortz of the United States won the Gold Medal here.
What a great moment. I knew Cindy growing up. This was her moment. Within months of this competition she started to grow and it shattered her skating. It said she was 4'8"? She was SOOO tiny, I'd bet 4'5" at this time. She really was world class here, and should have been able to go to senior worlds. Luv ya, Cindy. This is your performance for history, and you deserved it.
