These ants move very quickly to protect their nest when provoked on Tamborine Mountain.

  • Is this a jumping Jack ? Is it the same thing, cheers

  • Great i already gotta deal with ants in my house and now they jump ! Fml [: lmao

  • Not really redneck. I just dont like having them nest all over my farm.

  • @ceskazbrojovka17HMR

Thats a pretty redneck statement, but I can imagine having a nest of these settle under your doorstep would get old right quick.

Still, shouldnt kill stuff like this unless you have to. Especially badass ants like jack jumpers.

  • ive been stung by these that many times i dont really fell it anymore. they dont like having gun powder and petrol poured down their nests

  • assuming you have a healthy immune system, once you have been stung by one of these bastards the next time the effects will be quartered. well from my experience anyway...

Tambo represent! they are everywhere up here.

  • I just got done on the forearm by a tree leaping little bugger in Calagriba, my entire forearm is swollen up. Never did locate the nest either.

  • woah shit man i was walking home from skool then like 100 ants came out of no where and just attacked me with umbrella's crazy shit

  • I live in this region, and also have a nest of these in the garden, every once in a while i test my manhood by poking their nest with a stick from a safe cowardly distance. if you move uor finger towards them ,they can sense it from 3-4cms away, which makes them unique from other ant species i have come across. they will then try and jump onto the finger. as for pain they cause, a friend was once stung on the hand, and had a swollen hand for a week!

  • These Ants Will Jump on trees and ambush you
