Hi, the tuning is OPEN D. From 1st to 6th: D,A,F#,D,A,D.
Is very simple play on this tuning. The work on basses in fingerpicking work out fine and easy. Play something over Kelly Joe Phelps and David Lindley.

Hi I just bought one of these on the strength of your video it arrives today, I will be watching this again and try to learn your riffs what is your tuning?
I have a Galveston Lap top which was a very cheap one and not too special but it helped me start to play the Lap Steel in standard guitar tuning, I play electric guitar and mandolin but have always wanted to get into Lap steel
