  • if its a mech disc brake why would i need different brake levers and cable?

  • @hallmonitor98 Yes (one is a tube for brake fluid the other is a cable).

  • My current hubs do not have the ability to accept the disc, do I have to repalce the entire wheel, or can I just purchase a hub and use the same spokes and rim, then install the disc?

  • @PDopey Either way works, but I would suggest buying entire new wheels, because the cost of a new hub and getting the wheel built and new spokes if you need them won't be much different than buying a new wheelset, which you could get as disc specific.

  • do we need a specific lever and wire for disc brakes ??? or is the same like V brake ?? someone help me please !!

  • @bisalyep Yes both are different. What type of bike are you trying to add disc brakes to? Spadout.com

  • Where can I buy these packages for the disk brakes?

  • It sounds like Egon from Ghostbusters.

  • "threaded-ed"

  • my bike has disc breaks in the front except the back are v breaks and i wanted to switch to disc break in the back to is this possible, can you make a video on how to do that

  • I have a Hope Try-All disc brake and i have a shimano adapter and i dont know how to screw the adatpter on my brake pliz help. Thanks!

  • @bisalyep You could use a v-brake lever on a cable disc brake but not on hydraulic.

  • I watched this video over again just to laugh at the way he talks!

  • @azamzzr250 disc brakes work better cause they can operate at higher temps and work better in mud and wet conditions .. if you set them right mechanical discs work just as well as hydraulic ones

  • @hallmonitor98 nope just new cable adn housings so its long enough

  • @bisalyep NO!! you don't at all you can even use bmx brake levers if you only used one finger to brake instead of moving every thing further up your bars

all you need to install mechanical disc brakes are :

    new cable

    new outer cable/housing

obv the wheels that will take disc brakes and again obv the rotor adn calliper . hydraulic breaks come with everything you need straight out the box
