A crazy back bend that makes me forget all my worries:

1. The most intense moment of getting into the pose is when you hold the ankle and lower the heel to the ground. If this feels like a major opening in the thoracic spine, don't be surprised.

2. To prepare for this opening do heaps of shoulder loop -- press the elbows down and strongly draw your shoulders towards the back plane of the upper body.

Tribute: I have practiced yoga since 1996, but the last couple of years I have studied Anusara Yoga™ (founded by John Friend). It has been a joyful revolution to my practice, adding more freedom and stability and heaps more fun. I am thankful and wish to share what I have learned so far.
