@omahahnful i thought you could run it as external midi and use the monotron as a sound module.

@Croner2323 I think you overestimate what midi can do. If they put a midi output on that thing the only thing possible would be that the notes you play on the ribbon controller would be recorded. Midi can not transfer any sounds from a synth. The only thing possible would be if there was a midi in you could use a better controller. But you still would have to record the sound and can not quantize the sound after you played it. Synth /= VST Plugin

@omahahnful Midi from a synth makes a lot of sense. Ever heard of Quantizing or Piano Roll?
-
@Croner2323 Why would you want a midi signal out of a synth?? This doesn't make any sense. You can plug this thing into your Interface (probably using the headphone jack on the monotron) and record the sound signal. No midi involved whatsoever.

THAT IS FUCKING MENTAL

How would you plug one of these into a computer? It seems like theres no MIDI in/out but would i be able to plug it into my audio interface and record audio directly into a DAW? I really want to get one of these b/c they're so cheap and so facking cool.

@Oweng40000 Not necessarily. There are different types of analog delays, but a portable type probably wouldn't be able to have such lengthy delays. Oh well. I'm still excited for mine to arrive in the mail whether it's an analog delay or not. Maybe I'll even mod mine to accept MIDI.
