Man, I love all three Big Star records. But, do yourself a favor and pick up the Chris Bell compilation "I Am the Cosmos". It's just solid as fuck sad, beautiful power pop. I mean, I love Chiltons' post Big Star work, but this little compilation is so great. It barely leaves my record player.

I'm not a hipster, I'm well into middle age, and I have no respect for rock critics who don't bother to check facts either. If you're going to pay tribute to Big Star, they deserve the respect of not messing up half the story. And frankly, Big Star doesn't need props from boring old NPR especially at this point with all the original members but one dead.
