matar tantos tiburones no creo que sea ni racional ni logico, esto no es pesca selectiva, el pescador es verdad que trabaja muy duro , pero no es selectivo.

Hello from Canada!
I was just wondering how versatile this style of fishing is?

Nice catch guys, top effort on the retrieve. Always fun pulling in the long line!

wht about the sharks you just lob into the air and let die on the beach?
is longlining allowed in NZ? in NSW 5 hooks max.
ive tried something similar to this this using a balloon with one livebait for kings.

Do you eat those fish?? Looks like good eattn rite there!!
The kiteline and mainline are 65kg breaking strain the hooks are attached to a 50 kg safety trace in case we get something to big to land or a snag. That way we always get the kites and mainline back

Paul if some kind of disaster happens man made or natural, the haters on here might be pleased of inventive guys like yourself! 2 things catching fish via a rod wouldn't feed the adverage cat , and you can't go to sea in a boat in high winds as a rule....
Keep it up bro

You are dead right, the only things you seem to get here if you are an average caster are not good table fish, it's mainly red cod, kahawai and shark.
I don't think they understand what west coast fishers are up against in NZ. Dangerous bars, unpredictable surf and massive rips plus the fact the fish are 1000 yds out.
See LATEST CATCHES on my website. It has good catch reports and pics. The link to it is on my channel page.

The fish are a mile to a mile and a half offshore. This is a very effective way of catchjng these excellent table fish from the shore. If anyone has a better way of casting fishing lines this far offshore I would like to hear about it.
