The little wasp nest under the plastic crate in the yard is still hanging in there. Looks like they're down at least 3 individuals though (hunting or deceased?) Almost no size deference between the queen and her daughters.

I catch one of my tarantulas drinking for the first time. I know that they do, but spiders are very good at being secretive. This was before his hide was replaced. Got too small.

A coonhound at work kills a yellowish-brown preying mantis at the doggie daycare. Then two weeks later, my Dad brings home a tapped-up box saying, "Open it quick. He's been in there overnight."

Mom : "Uh-oh. This another garter snake?"

LOL! My parents know me too well. It was ANOTHER male mantis of the same species. Must be breeding season. Well, since I can't get a female via postage, I decided to let him ago after a few days of watering and feeding. Hopefully, he'll find a lady. :-)

My alligator lizard, now named Frieza, is growing FAST! Shed twice in the short period of being in my care. Still very untame. The little booger hissed at my Mom when she disturbed his afternoon nap. LOL! I gotta try taming him/her down. Maybe in the bathroom where he can't get under anything (he escaped under a freezer for a day).

I can't imagine how boring life without animals would be!

  • awesome ts and mantis! i had 2 mantis' but sadly i had to release them because i couldnt get anyone to care for them while i was gone i had the 1st one for like 3 weeks and the 2nd one for like 1 and a half i wanted to keep them :(

  • @End0987612 Aww. You have any local garden nurseries? Some sell mantis ootheca in the summer months. You hatch them as a biological pest control. You can keep a few of the nymphs separately after they emerge from the ootheca.

  • isnt killing a mantis illeagal

  • @aer8862357 Why would it be? It a state bug? Anyway, I didn't kill it. A dog at daycare did. I brought it home to take pictures since I've never seen this species. The live one came later from my Dad. I released it because it was a male so he could search for females.

  • that is the best lizard. im a lizard lover. its so cute

  • @TheSashaMartinez I didn't. This is just a nest inside a plastic crate that's in my yard. I get wasp nests in that broken crate, inside 3 of our bird houses and one inside my Dad's unused cement turner. They're great for keeping garden pests in check.

  • @KawaiiKemonomimi hmm that sounds cool but no i dont have any of those around here

  • you are epic haha

  • @KawaiiKemonomimi thanks for the tips, they just love redecorating their enclosures! Mine has already made a huge system of web tunnels with dirt on them. It is also the most active t ive owned
