Researchers at the UPMC Eye Center are testing BrainPort, a vision-assist device that helps people who are blind to visualize their surroundings using their tongues. Watch Dr. Amy Nau explain the device and study participant Jose Neto use BrainPort to navigate an obstacle course designed by our researchers.
Wow! Good news! But I just have one question in my mind right now. Does this device also can see your visual imaginations or if a person is asleep dreaming then can it see and record your dreams? Or it only shows what is seen in the device's camera? I have read somewhere that this device is different from an "implant" device that they put inside your eyes to let the blind see.
