The 220+ member "Marching Tigers" band put on a Michael Jackson Tribute Show on October 6, 2008 with acclaimed impersonator Joby Rogers, and performed a similar show during halftime at a football game on October 10, 2008 (without Joby Rogers). During this halftime performance, the full-scale band performs Thriller and Smooth Criminal. At the end, all members join in to perform the Thriller dance routine across the football field, as the original track plays in the background.
