being a centrifugal supercharger, it makes the 14 psi on the redline, so as long as he's not riding the redline all the time he shouldn't have any problems because boost throughout the rev range, say 2000-4500 would only be between 3-10 psi (approx) , but uprgraded internals would be the way to go for anything more than 1 BAR (14psi)
