@jmurphy914 a lot of technology that has ultimately been incredibly profitable didn't start out that way... it started because of war or the space race. As a nation we need to look forward. If we put some time and energy into developing solar, there is no doubt it would have an enormous positive impact on our nation.
not later. Its time to step forward towards the future of Green courthouses, schools manufacturing plants. Pretty much everything you can imagine working together to make as little distruction as possible. While I am not anti oil or anti coal. I do believe its time to turn the page. We cant simply hold on for fear of change, time to begin building the future so we can see a portion of it in our lifetime because this is the life we get, might as well make it as great as we can.
many jobs will be there to gain in Solar, Wind and alternative energy capacities. Such examples are using air and water power to aid in less electricity use or Electric cars instead of Gasoline. The Toyota Prius coverts friction from brakeing into energy. So why not take advantage of as many of these options as possible? whats the excuse for not advancing in our future and trying to leave this country the way it was when we were young. I think all outdoor enthusists will agree we need to now.
I love when people attack the fact that businesses dont want to adopt the idea of Solar Energy. Its not that they dont see a future of profit in it, its that the idea has yet to be financed. They are playing it safe by not taking risks, but the truth of the matter is eventually the government will probably start proving money to help push Businesses in the right direction. The will offer tax credits and other benefits to those who do, and while many question how many jobs will be lost....
people can believe what they want to believe but Solar Power and alternative energy is the future. I mean look around car companies are already planning to get away from oil by creating electric cars. Arizona has alot to gain on a solar power initiative, Im going to take classes for Environmental policy and Alternative Energy and mabe end up in Arizona. I hope they do lead the initiative, somthing like this could really help them after the economy killed them, lots of jobs to come from this.
Giffords is awesome and coherent. You can see why the Koch Brothers - oil billionaires whose profits are seriously threatened by renewable energy - would finance the Tea Party to get Giffords removed from office.
Easy to see from this video why Sarah Palin would have to target Giffords for assasination by putting her literally in the crosshairs. Giffords is nicer looking than Palin, and isn't insane.
and if "Solar is Serious Energy ", then that means it is profitable, right? Then why would our government need to "push" for it when companies would be jumping at the idea to make money? Oh, that's right, it isn't profitable and would raise all of our electric bills to thousands a month! There is no Easter Bunny either!
