The physics of GT5 are focused on simulating vehicle dynamics under normal high performance driving situations which it has captured immaculately, but the crashing physics are obviously an afterthought, but anyone who complains about the crashing physics is obviously not someone with a lot of experience with or appreciation of high performance driving/racing. Real racers and good drivers don't crash enough to care.
