Tip: dont rinse them, it rinses away alot of the flavor along with some nutritional value. the natural slimy juices on the seeds also hold salt and spices better and give them a better crisp in the oven.

that is so cute. must agree though. My friend is a former Fire Chief and main cook for his station. I know they miss his cooking but will never admit to it. LOL.

last year after we made the jack o lantern we took the seeds and roasted them with cinnamon they taste better that way
