An enjoyable day out was had during the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway's GWR 175 Festival of Steam. I attended on Tuesday 1st June, this day was 'Named Train day'. Unfortunately the 2 locomotives I'd hoped would be in action (8274 & 5322) were on shed all day. But it was nice to see 3717 in its splendid new livery and 92203, 5542, 7802 'Bradley Manor' & 7903 'Foremarke Hall' working an intensive service.
Also a nice surprise was 0-4-0 Saddle Tank 1144 from the Gwili Railway working at Gotherington.
Can you Imagen how lovely it was when king cross station or York station had 20 steam locomotives all beaching smoke out
