The Occupy Movement needs practical direction. The Basic Income Grant is already on the table. It is a practical plan that can be put into place through democracy. We have to insist on an actual solution, and BIG has already been tested and found to be effective.

You didnt like that one how about The greed of the Progessives and their cronyism is the real problem . Not rich versus poor but private verses public . Critical thinking isnot taught any more only indoctrination of sheep

yes and with an equal system where education is no longer corrupted by profit and greed then children will be able to learn critical thinking and effective information processing

there is absolutely no viable reason why Soc. Sec. should ever go bankrupt - if the government end Corporations tax breaks & bail outs, AND if they have wealthy CEOs of banks pay their appropriate tax rate, and stop asking the middle class to bail them out AND spending all our money the government gives them on million dollar raises & B.S. tropical resort "business" conventions -if the government stand for people not Banks & corporations there would be enough for universal heath care & Soc Sec

we require a system that provides real social security to all humans equally - globally - a system that does not allow even one person to go without, and to struggle. We have sufficient technology and resources to support everyone and profit making is the evil that is allowed as the basis of the entire human way of existence - I won't call it life because the current system is not about life - it is about profit through enslavement

so it is a 'hippy fantasy' to care about life and to take responsibility to give to each other as we would like for ourselves? this simply indicates you are another brainwashed consumer robot who accept the system - what kind of example are you?

@MattiFreeman1 So much Hippy Fantasy . And then their are people that actually makes fredom (with responsibilty) work .100 years ago an 8th grade graduate knew more than a collage grad today. Then people like you got a hold of the system writing the laws and indoctrinating the youth . Absolute power corupted them . You are unable to see its a rejection Gods example of morality and law . You seek to corupt even that . Life will never be easy. Be an example for a childs innocence .

working 12 hours a day is not necessary - in an equal system where labor is designed around the effective participation of everyone to maintain a system that supports everyone to live a great life from birth to death, you won't have to work your whole life - only a few years - then you would afterward only work if it is your actual choice / passion - not be a slave to the profit making system just to make ends meet

in this world the strong is those who abuse life to make a profit to then attain more strength as money to have a nice life and call the rest weak

a drone the majority of the population that must work the slave jobs that the rich won't do - the jobs required to be done so they can make a profit

running water is a luxury in this world and is not provided to everyone because the system is not about supporting life it is about supporting those with money

Real men work twelve hours a day and still comes in on saturday (what you call slavery ) Are educated in something useful . Invent things . Are entrepenuers . You are arguing for everyone to be drones .It was only because of the JudeoChristian ethic that their is a choice . You would take that away . As bad as things are your result would be a brutal world Where only the strong would survive . I dont know about you but I want running water .

yep - it is an illusion to believe in 'the pursuit of happiness' because there is no equal playing ground for each to be happy because there is an elite in this world of a few who have lots of money who need their precious work force as the 'bottom layer' in society - and the 'American Dream' is the carrot that is being dangled in front of our eyes to not see the mess that we're really in, so we wouldn't stand up and demand social security as unconditional support - thanx for sharing Matti
